Dive into adventure with our NEW IMMOTION VR Experience: Shark Dive, launching May 22nd at CSC!

Get up close with the incredible sharks of Tiger Beach in this thrilling, immersive underwater experience. No wetsuit required.

Flat Footed Truths: Stories of Lived Experiences is a juried quilt exhibition featuring quilts and fiber art that depict the soul-stirring, truth-telling, and compelling stories of African American women.

This exhibit is named and influenced by the book written by Patricia Bell-Scott, Flat Footed Truths: Telling Black Women’s Lives. These stories and the truths they tell come to life in this unforgettable exhibit.

Internationally acclaimed Pueblo artist Virgil Ortiz, recognized worldwide for his groundbreaking work in pottery, fashion, and contemporary Indigenous art, presents a public lecture as part of Handwork 2026, Craft in America’s national celebration of creativity during America’s 250th anniversary. The talk is free with admission to The Mint Museum or a Potters Market at the Mint ticket.

The documentary explores the world of Minnie Evans, a visionary Black artist from North Carolina who spent decades working as a gatekeeper at Airlie Gardens while driven by powerful, divine visions to create intricate, vibrant artwork. Guided by an undeniable inner mandate to "draw or die," her self-taught style transcended traditional boundaries, earning her a celebrated place in American art history. This event is part of the Southern Circuit Tour Of Independent Filmmakers, sponsored by South Arts and the National Endowment For The Arts, and presented by the CineOdyssey Film Festival and Little Rock Cultural Center in Charlotte, NC.

Pre-Screening Reception: Kick off the afternoon with a local artist showcase and a pre-screening meet-and-greet.

Director Q&A: Stay for an insightful post-screening Q&A session with director Linda Royal, moderated by award winning Charlotte visual artist Melvin D. Nix.
