Voices From The Past AFTER DARK and Ghost Hunting in Historic Elmwood Cemetery.Historic Elmwood Cemetery opened in 1853. More than 45,000 Charlotte citizens rest in peace under a canopy of colorful fall foliage - or maybe not. Restless souls whose lives ended in terrible tragedies, valiant soldiers who died in battles, as well as a life taken at the hands of another. These are the stories that couldn't be told during our April event will now be shared by our talented storytellers. In the dark shadows of night, take a guided Candlelight Tour into the dark side of Charlotte’s history.This is an adult Halloween event. True Crime stories and tragic life experiences may be why these souls are haunted. The Charlotte Area Paranormal Society, with its ghost-hunting equipment, will help you to communicate with the restless "spirits" of Pinewood.
For your Halloween celebration this year, spend the evening under the sea at Duke Mansion and see what adventures await. Join us as Duke Mansion becomes an underwater dream where mermaids reign and sea kings dance.
Your ticket includes everything to have a wonderful evening, including dancing, delicious food, and wonderful drinks at the incomparable Duke Mansion. Music and dancing led by 80's cover band Kids In America.
Come dressed to be at the sea, on the sea, under the sea, or in the festive attire of your choice. Your ticket for this annual fundraiser helps you preserve and protect Duke Mansion, a community treasure on the National Register of Historic Places.

Above and Beyond celebrates the incredible innovations that have shaped flight – from the earliest dreams of the Wright brothers to today’s space exploration and tomorrow’s cutting-edge aviation technologies.
Explore the frontiers of air and space travel through immersive simulations, hands-on design challenges and dynamic storytelling that brings the history and future of aerospace to life. The journey begins in a wraparound immersive theater, then expands into five themed galleries featuring dozens of interactive stations.
The Lake Norman Orchestra returns to beautiful Laurel Gray Vineyards-Winery for a free admission Sunday afternoon concert featuring Halloween-theme music. The all-volunteer full orchestra will present "Thriller," "The Monster Mash," "Hotel California," music from Phantom of the Opera, and several "spooky" classical and classic music favorites. A wide variety of refreshments and food will be available during the afternoon. The orchestra is led by music director Mr. Samuel A. Kyzer.

Cancer Support Health & Wellness Classes.
These classes are designed to improve overall health and well-being by providing engaging and informative sessions on healthy cooking, nutritional information, and general wellness. Specifically tailored for individuals diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers, our classes will empower participants with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their diet and lifestyle, ultimately enhancing their health and quality of life.
Additionally, we will address the impact of alcohol and substance abuse on cancer patients and survivors, offering healthy alternatives to support their journey to wellness.
