  • The Chalrotte Hornets is an NBA team. The Hornets are part of the NBA's Eastern Conference Southeast Division. Basketball legend Michael Jordan is the primary owner, and the team plays at Spectrum Center in uptown. The original Charlotte Hornets started in 1988 under George Shinn but moved to New Orleans in 2002. Then, in 2004, Charlotte was awarded a new NBA expansion team — the Bobcats.
